*OUR COCKAPOO PARENTS*

This page will provide you with important information you will need to know prior to purchasing a puppy.

DEPOSITS

We require a deposit in the amount of $200.00 to hold a puppy for you. We will except a check for a deposit, however we will need to wait seven business days for the check to clear before puppy pickup or shipping. We except United States Postal money orders only, no other money orders are excepted. Western Union and Paypal are also excepted. The deposit is non-refundable should you change your mind for any reason, unless something significant changes on or to the puppy. If we were to find a medical problem with the puppy we would refund your deposit in full or offer you a different puppy.

FINIAL PAYMENTS

We will except a United States Postal money order, however we prefer you pay cash for the remaining balance at the puppy pick up. We also allow finial payment through PayPal.  We will provide you with a receipt for your payment.

HEALTH GUARANTEE

All  of our puppies are vet checked and health certified from our licensed veterinarian. Our puppies are sold with a health guarantee. We give ten days for contagious and infectious disease. We do require you to have the puppy seen by a licensed veterinarian within ten days from pickup or shipping date. We offer a one year genetic guarantee. Should your licensed vet find a major medical problem within the first thirty days, you must provide us with a written explanation as well as the tests performed. We also would like the puppy returned to us and we will then give you a full refund of your purchase price for the puppy (the price you paid us for the puppy, no reimbursement of vet bills) or you can exchange for a different puppy. If there are minor medical problems that are inexpensively resolved, I do not recommend that the puppy be returned.

HOLDING PUPPY PAST PICK UP DATE

We will keep the puppy for four days past the pick up date. We will pet sit your puppy for five dollars per day after the four days have past. It is best for the puppy to bond with his new family and to learn your way of communication, so we do not recommend a puppy stay any longer then a week after our set pick up day.

VACCINATIONS

Your new puppy will have had his first puppy shot. The most important vaccine for a young puppy to be vaccinated against is Canine Parvo Virus. Parvo is very deadly, especially for puppies. We vaccinate our puppies against Parvo with neopar twice, prior to him leaving us. We also vaccinate against Kennel Cough. We deworm the puppy a minimum of three times prior to him leaving us. It is important to deworm three times, since the worms pass from mother to puppy back to mother and puppy. We deworm the mother as well during this process to insure that they will be clear of worms.

SHIPPING

We do ship puppies using Comair (Delta) out of State College, PA. We will ship with Continental Airways out of Pittsburgh, PA if temperatures are an issue. Shipping is $300.00 to $350.00. This fee includes airline fees, a small travel crate, food bowls, transportation to the airport, health certificate and a towel for inside the crate for the comfort of the puppy. We do prefer Delta, since State College is only one hour from us and Pittsburgh is a three hour drive for us, if traffic is good. Delta has regulations and can not ship a puppy if temperatures are above 85 degrees at any point of travel. They are also regulated to temperatures not below 50 degrees unless we have a acclimation of temperatures from a vet no lower then 20 degrees. If the temperatures are below 20 and above 85 we will use Continental, since they are completely climate controlled and are not regulated, however there will be an addition fee of $50.00, since we must drive an additional two hours. We do like to meet our puppy buyers and go over all the information and care information your new puppy will need, so if at all possible you can fly in yourself and meet with us and take the puppy back with you as a carry on.

WHAT PUPPY AND ADULT FOOD DO WE USE?

We use and sell Royal Canin Mini dog food for both our adults and puppies. Royal Canin may cost more then other leading brands, but gives a good foundation for a healthy start in your puppies life. Royal Canin has developed specific types of formulas for your breed and size, that was developed with vitamins to help combat common health problems for that particular breed. Royal Canin is all-natural and extremity digestible for optimal nutrition absorption. These diets are very palatable and formulated to meet the exact nutritional requirements for your new puppy. We highly recommend you continue with the use of Royal Canin, however you can switch foods. If you plan on switching the food, you will need a small bag of Royal Canin to mix with the new food you choose, so it will not harm the puppy.

PICK UP APPOINTMENTS

We schedule all of our appointments one hour apart, so please try to be on time. I know that you can not predict traffic or weather, and that is understandable. Please call us if you are running behind. We do not schedule appointments before 9:30 am and after 8:00 pm. If you are early and I am with another customer, please understand I must finish with them before I can wait on you.

GROOMING

We bath our puppies a few times before they leave us. We will groom your puppy prior to his pick up or shipping. We use an all natural, fragrance free shampoo that I make. I trim any hair around the puppies eyes that may poke him in his eye or hair that will prevent him from seeing properly. I also clean out the ears (if needed) and clip the nails, so there is no need to go to the groomers right away. It is not very safe to take your puppy to the groomers until he is at least twelve weeks of age and the puppy has all his vaccinations. Places that have a lot of other dogs are hot spots for deceases that can be contagious to your new  puppy.

TRAINING

I am an Obedience Trainer and therefor I do have a plan that we use with all of our puppies to help give a good head start in your puppies training process. We start with the basics, such as crate training, house training, socialization and acceptable interaction with humans. We start with socialization. We handle the puppies daily after birth, so they are accustomed to our touch and sounds. When the puppies eyes are open and they are walking we start taking them outside with the mother each and every time she goes potty, to help accustom them to go potty outside. We crate train. Socialization is key during your puppies training process. The puppies will have played with other dogs other then there litter mates. We have playing sessions with the puppies daily and will start to show them appropriate interaction with humans. We work on NO MOUTHING and subordination during these sessions, both covered in the Super Puppy Training Books. I recommend that all new puppy owners read the Super Puppies training books. I also recommend that all puppies attend obedience classes at an appropriate age of at least twelve weeks. It is best to wait until your puppy has all of his vaccinations, prior to being introduced to other animals.
